Basics Computer Networking

NETWORKING INTRODUCTION
Network computers "interconnection" between two or more computers that are connected by cable or broadcast media (wireless) wireless. Two computer units is said to be connected if they can exchange data / information share resources such as files, printers, storage media (hard disk, diskette, CD-ROM, flash disk, etc.). The data in text, audio or video, move through the media or wireless network (LAN) that allows computer users to a computer network can exchange files / data printed on the same printer and use hardware / on software a network together.

TYPES OF NETWORK

Personal Area Network (PAN)
Personal Area Network (PAN) is a network of communication with other devices with other devices in a very close distance. For example, between computers connected to the personal digital assistant (PDA), cell phone, laptop and so on. PNA can be used for communication between a device and another device or a network connection between devices such as Internet scale, for example. To do PAN, usually through a bus connection that runs on a USB or Firewire computer. The PAN can be done with the media called wireless or WPAN (Wireless PAN) using an intermediate means of IrDA (infrared wavelengths), Bluetooth, UWB, ZigBee and Z-Wave.

Local Area Network (LAN)
This as well as on my previous post about what is a LAN, View This

Wide Area Network (WAN)
Wide Area Network (WAN) is a network that normally are already using the wireless media, satellite facilities or fiber optic cables. The area is more far-reaching than the kind of fabric that was mentioned above, does not refer to a single city or between cities within a region, but began to get to the area / territory of another state authority. Network for example, a desktop network City Bank Indonesia or other countries are interconnected ATM MasterCard, Visa Card, or Cirrus spread throughout the world, and so on.

WAN is usually more complicated and very complex compared to LAN and MAN. WAN uses various means to connect between LAN and WAN on a global communications such as the Internet. However across LAN, MAN, WAN, and are not very different in some respects, only part of its area are different.
